Output: connect the DMX interface and choose the universe.
Patch: add the fixtures from the library (the profile knows its channels) and give each one its DMX address. Set the same address on the fixture (menu or DIP switches).
Design view: place the fixtures where they hang, so the 2D preview shows the real beams.
Live View: build the looks with the controls of each fixture; save presets (a colour, a position) to reuse them.
Cue lists: record the looks as cues with fade times and play them with GO during the show.

Light a small theatre stage the way a lighting desk such as Lightkey does it: choose the fixtures, send them DMX, patch the rig, light a face in lux, mix colour, aim a moving head and build a cue list with fades.
